Tara enrolled at Mount St. Mary's University in 2009 where she was a member of the Division I Women's basketball program. She was named captain for both her Junior and Senior year. Tara graduated from Mount St. Mary's in 2013 with a Bachelor's of Arts, with concentrations in both History and English.
In May of 2018, Tara began working as a personal trainer where she was responsible for developing exercise programs based on clients desired goals, as well as instructing clients on proper body mechanics. Tara also taught group workout classes for both adults and children. From 2018-2022, Tara began coaching girls basketball for the travel program Rising Stars, ranging from fourth to eleventh graders.
In 2019, Tara became a physical therapy aide at Island Wide Physical Therapy where she assisted both Physical therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants in prepping workspaces for patients, as well as explaining assigned exercises. In September of 2020, she enrolled at Nassau Community College's Physical Therapist Assistant program. She had hands-on clinical experience at Parker Jewish Hospital sub-acute care rehab, Nassau Sports Care outpatient, and Ivy Rehab outpatient services. She graduated in 2022 with a 3.8 GPA and began treating patients full time at Ivy Rehab after getting fully licensed in October of 2022. In May of 2023, she began working at Nassau Sports Care full time where she has found enjoyment helping treat patients with a variety of diagnoses while helping to promote overall wellness.
