Nassau Sports Care has one of the most top notch physical therapy aide staffs in the industry. Most Nassau Sports Care Aides are currently pursuing education and careers in the medical field. Nassau Sports Care's Aide program has produced physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and paramedics to name a few. A physical therapy aide is a member of the physical therapy support team who assists patients and the therapy environment. Their duties include: 


  • Cleaning and organization: Keeping the treatment area clean and safe, and washing linens 
  • Preparing for patients: Setting up equipment for each patient's visit 
  • Helping patients: Assisting patients with moving around, and helping them with active and passive exercises 
  • Quality care: making sure each patient receives one on one care devloping a strong relationship between our staff and the patient as an individual. As well as having all of their questions and concerns properly relayed to the team of clinicians so each patient's program can be truly personalized. 
  • Coordinating with other professionals: Working with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient care Physical therapy aides are supervised by licensed physical therapists or licensed physical therapy assistants.
